Groundswell Community Mural Project is working in partnership with the Office of the Mayor to revitalize a Department of Transportation (DOT) pedestrian underpass on 190th Street and Broadway, Washington Heights, New York. As part of our Summer Leadership Institute 2008, a team of 15 youth (age 14-21) from Washington Heights are working with artists Belle Benfield and Chris Beck to design and paint the mural at the entrance to the tunnel.
