Artist Profiles: Christopher Auger-Domínguez
Christopher Auger-Domínguez Born in Upstate New York in 1974, Christopher’s family moved to Fort Worth, Texas with the prospects of warmer weather and a teaching opportunity for his father at a small private school, Trinity Valley School, where he and his siblings attended. After studying Geography and Environmental Studies at Texas A&M University, he traveled extensively domestically and abroad participating in various multinational conservation, research and education programs. While documenting his travels with his camera, Christopher developed a meaningful faculty for photographing people and their environment. In his camera, he found the ideal tool to engage all his interests and focused his career on photography. Making his way back to Texas, he assisted various commercial photographers as he developed his own artwork, which incorporates a deep appreciation for the environment, people and culture. In 2003, Christopher moved to New York City. Since, he has produced a unique portfolio capturing images that have an eye for the moment and an intimate understanding of his subject. Christopher currently lives with his wife and daughter in Hamilton Heights, New York City. View Christopher's work at http://www.auger-dominguez.com.
